Reach a Consensus and Set Lean Sail

On June 5, 2017, the 2017 Annual Lean Production Initiating Meeting of Shuanglin was held in Shanghai headquarters successfully. The meeting was presided by Chen Jixiang, director of enterprise management center. Shan Jinhui, General Manager, Chen Youfu and Qian Xueming, Deputy General Manager of the company, and Ge Haian, executive Vice President of New Torch, as well as lean production project team members of all business departments participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, firstly, the enterprise management center introduced lean production system construction planning and 2017 lean production promotion plan of Shuanglin.


After that, responsible persons of pilot units of all business departments such as Jisheng Factory, New Torch 5th Factory, Transmission Factory, Xincheng 2nd Factory, Deyang Electronics, Hangzhou Bay Factory reported outstanding issues faced by the enterprise currently and put forward improvement projects and target plans. During this period, other representatives also participated in an active stance, while leadership participating in the meeting evaluated appropriately. Via this meeting, improvement key points and targets of all business departments and pilot units have been further defined.

Finally, Mr. Shan Jinhui, General Manager of the company emphasized that, first, lean production could not become a mere formality, but seek for efficiency from management, while all improvements shall have definite financial return targets; second, pilot projects of business departments shall have representativeness, while experiences and standards formed by pilot projects shall be promoted and applied in different subsidiaries and branches;  third, it is required to enhance experience communication between business departments and subsidiaries & branches, to achieve effective sharing of knowledge; fourth, management personnel at all levels could not be satisfied with current situation, and come to a standstill, but stay prepared against adversities in times of peace, and keep challenging themselves and making breakthroughs; he emphasized in the end that, "currently we need to align with industry benchmark, and in future we shall become industry benchmark, and lead the industry".

"The road ahead will be long and our climb will be steep". Lean improvement has no end, and we need to abandon the "mobile" improvement activities, investigate deep into the site and management reality, enhance our foundation firmly step by step, establish our standards, and form lean culture of Shuanglin, under the market environment undergoing unending changes, we need to make joint efforts to cope with market competition, and win the imitative in fierce market competition!
